ABOUT US

“Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free”  John 8:32

Scarlet Rope Project provides a holistic individual care plan for each woman in our program. We strive daily to be a trauma informed care agency by implementing the six principles of TIC into our care and support for the residents: Safety, Choice, Collaboration, Trustworthiness, Empowerment, and Culture.

OUR VALUES

We strive to treat all of the women who enter our program with dignity and respect. Our values guide us and keep us accountable to one another. We engage our values through our work but we also desire for the women in our program to develop these values as part of their personal character as they progress through SRP.

Truth

We believe that truth is not only an important aspect within communication, it is also vital when it comes to personal beliefs and motivation. The truth within our personal worth and value is truly life-giving and transformative. When individuals begin to understand their purpose and beauty within their existence, they become free to life fully and with joy. We also prioritize honesty and integrity when it comes to personal conduct and our interactions with others.

Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.             John 8:32

Faith

We believe in Jesus Christ who conquered our sin and death. He rose again and is now calling ua to know Him and accept His selfless love. Faith is more than just believing in Christ. Faith also requires a level of trust; His love and compassion are applied to us and His grace is enough. We are also called to live in repentance where our every action is devoted to wholistic and full living. We strive to serve and love because Christ demonstrates this beautifully. We also have faith in our participants' abilities to push through painful pasts and embrace the hope that lies within reach.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Perseverance

We believe that strength grows as we face adversity and work together to achieve healing. Beyond healing, there is ministry. We help each woman in our program determine their personal goals and pursue those objectives. We do not ignore or downplay the challenges but we do prioritize determination with hope on the other side. As we take steps forward, we will see progress in the days ahead. We pray for courage and endurance for each participant who seeks our support. The outcomes are truly overwhelming when we witness the power of Christ to overcome and reward every effort made in faith.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.                                 Galatians 6:9

Love

We believe in a love that transforms and restores. Love overcomes fear and brings freedom. We work to create a home for our participants where they know they are prioritized and safe. On days when the pain is overbearing and it seems that healing is out of reach, we offer a place for restoration and accountability. There is a specific balance between compassion and motivating change. We help our women embrace a lifestyle of good choices, positive coping skills, and healthy interpersonal skills. Love requires a kindness to self and then an outpouring of empathy for others. Love sustains us and gives us purpose.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.                     1 Corinthians 4-8

Community

We believe in the power of connection and support. It is easier to find perspective and purpose when we invest in people within our circle of influence. We are so very thankful for the community that our ministry is planted in. We strive to make sure the women in our program know that the community surrounding them cares for their needs and their well-being. We depend heavily on the generosity of the people around us and we do our best to give back and engage in the needs of other organizations as well.

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up.   Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Trust

We believe in the security found in trust. Trust is based on a strong foundation. We are not perfect, but we desire to provide a safe and trust-worthy environment. Our organization is structured with a board of directors to insure accountability. With this strong foundation, we reach out to our participants and offer them a place of security and ask in return that they trust us enough to let us invest in them and push them to overcome the struggles that they encounter each day. We hope that they trust us as we rely on the Lord to direct us.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.                         Psalm 37:5

OUR STORY

Our name comes from the story of Rahab in Joshua 2. The scarlet rope in the story reminds us that, despite our mess, God still wants to redeem us and use us for his Kingdom. Just as Rahab is discovered to be in the lineage of Christ, we desire the same for the survivors of sex trafficking.
